PhD Interview Schedule

Eligibility for Registration

A Candidate will be permitted to register for the Ph.D degree programme in Social Work, of the University of Pune, conducted by the Institute subject to the revised rules of PH. D vide Circular No. 420/2005 dt. 24-11-2005.

The candidate must hold the Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with 50% of marks from a recognized University.

A Candidate can register for the Ph.D. Programme at any time during the year.

The Application Form and other details about the PhD programme are available in the Office of the Institute on request.

The candidate have to pay following fees, to the Institute directly.

1. Tuition fees : Faculty of Arts & Fine Arts, Mental Moral & Social Sciences
   • Rs.1300.00 First Year, Second Year and Third year
   • Rs.2000.00 Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Year
   • Rs.4000.00 Seventh and Eighth Year (If re-registration is granted)

   • General Conditions

   • A Student who has registered for Ph.D. in College/Institute, shall pay 60% (sixty percent) of the Tuition fee and other fees to the College/Institute (Research place) and pay 40% (forty per cent) to the University. The Examination fee for Ph. D. Thesis will be paid by the student to the University through the College/Institute.
   • Notwithstanding anything provided otherwise, the Tuition fee and Laboratory fee are prescribed for the students from the Sate of Maharashtra. The students who are from outside the State of Maharashtra will have to pay double the Tuition fee and the nonresident Indian student, Person of Indian Origin, Foreign Citizens/Foreign Nationals will have to pay five times of the Tuition fee that is prescribed for the students from the state of Maharashtra. The students from Bhutan, Nepal, Srilanka will have to pay three times of the Tuition fees as prescribed.
   • The Tuition and Laboratory fee will be increased after every two years by 10% (ten percent. This increase will be on the fee prescribed for the year 2002-03 unless/otherwise specified.
2. Library Fee of Rs. 400.00 per annum for all courses to be paid at the place of research work
3. Registration fee Rs.300.00 (For Ph.D. courses under all faculties, at the time of Registration and re-registration if any
4. Synopsis fee Rs. 400.00 At the time of submission of synopsis, it is necessary to submit the thesis within the period of 6 months from the date of payment of the synopsis fee. Otherwise fee of Rs.50.00 per month shall be charged for 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th month each. If student fails to submit thesis the synopsis along with of Rs.400.00 provided his period of registration is not over.
5. Examination fee For the courses under faculties of Arts and Fine Arts, Mental Moral and Social Sciences, Commerce, Science, education, Law : Rs. 1200.00 The examination fee shall be paid at the time of submission of the thesis.
