Eligibility
for Registration: A Candidate may be permitted to register for the Ph.D in Social Work degree of the University of Pune subject to the conditions mentioned below :- He/She should hold a Master's degree in the subject of his/ her doctoral research of the University of Pune or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by the University of Pune. The M.Phil degree may be a prerequisite for registration for Ph.D However, the concerned Departmental Committee may exempt a candidate from undertaking the M.Phil Course as per the rules made thereof. A CANDIDATE CAN BE REGISTERED ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR. Supervision for Ph.D. Research: A candidate registered for the Ph.D shall work under the supervision of a recognised research guide of the University. A candidate for the Ph.D degree must have worked for a minimum period of two calender years, and in the normal course, he will not be allowed to submit his thesis before completing two calender years from the date of his registration as a Ph.D student. Ph.D admissions are confirmed by the University of Pune and the doctoral programme shall be conducted as per Ph.D rules framed by University of Pune. Schedule of Fees: The student shall pay the tuition fees as given below. For the first two years, 60% amount to the Institute and 40% amount to the University of Pune. Entire amount from the third year onwards to be paid to the University of Pune. (Details of the fees are given in the Registration Letter) |
